He was born in Athens, on March 20, 1926. His origin was from Santorini. From 1948-1952 he studied at the School of Fine Arts (ASKT). He studied alongside important representatives of the artistic movement of the Munich School (or academic realism), such as Dimitrios Biskini and Andreas Georgiadis . His teacher was also Professor Umbertos Argyros , of the impressionist school. In the diploma exams of ASKT, in 1952, he won a prize for his work entitled “Portaito”, oil on canvas 80×60 cm.

In 1963, he continued his studies in Paris with a scholarship from the French government. He died in Athens on November 1, 1999, at the age of 73.

Lithography is a printing technique which was invented around 1798 by A. Alois Senefelder, based on the fact that water and fats are never mixed.

The subject or representation is drawn with greasy chalk on a stone (porous limestone) or tin plate and then dried. When water runs on the designed surfaces, the greasy ink “catches” only in the places that are engraved and not in the wet stone.
