Sotiris Sorogas (Athens 1936) is a Greek painter. He studied with a state scholarship at the School of Fine Arts from where he graduated in 1961. He had and has numerous exhibitions sponsored by the Ministry of Culture in Greece and abroad. He was a professor at the National Technical University of Athens in the School of Architecture from 1964 to 2003. In 2004 he received an award for artistic contribution from the Academy of Athens. He is a co-founder of the Society for the Study of Greek Culture. In 2018, the President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos awarded him the Medal of the Superior Brigade of the Order of Honor.

In the same year, the Telloglio Foundation hosted a retrospective exhibition with approximately ninety works of the painter’s entire artistic journey.

• Screen printing is the exact reproduction of limited copies of an original work.
• For reproduction, a silk grid is used stretched on a crate, hence the term Silkscreen, and as many crates as the colors of the work are used.
• The papers used for reproduction are cotton handmade 280-300gr type Fabriano.
• After the reproduction, the crates are destroyed by the painter to ensure the collectibility of the work.
• The Silkscreens are signed and numbered in pencil by the painter (numbering on the left and signature on the right) and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
