George Golfinos was born in Velo, Corinth in 1948. He first studied graphic arts at the Center for Technological Applications. Then to Α.Σ.Κ.Τ. painting with G. Moralis and scenography with V. Vassiliadis. All the years of studies he was a scholarship holder of I.K.Y. and was distinguished with 2 awards and 5 commendations.

With a scholarship of I.K.Y. continued his studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He also attended Materials Technology courses at the same school. Since 1999 he has been a professor of painting at the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of AUTh. Since 1980 he has held many solo exhibitions in Greece and Cyprus.

His works are in museums and in public and private collections in Greece and abroad.

• Screen printing is the exact reproduction of limited copies of an original work.
• For reproduction, a silk grid is used stretched on a crate, hence the term Silkscreen, and as many crates as the colors of the work are used.
• The papers used for reproduction are cotton handmade 280-300gr type Fabriano.
• After the reproduction, the crates are destroyed by the painter to ensure the collectibility of the work.
• The Silkscreens are signed and numbered in pencil by the painter (numbering on the left and signature on the right) and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
